The congregation was formally organized in the Fall of 1894, having been first established as a parochial and Sunday School of St. Paul Lutheran Church (Peoria) beginning in 1882.
What is your primary product or service?
Proclaiming the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, serving and worshiping him.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The congregation's roots were in serving German-speaking immigrants and their children living on the South Side of Peoria. Since then we have served their descendents and others who live in the area.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We proclaim the Gospel in accordance with the catholic creeds of the Church and the Lutheran Confessions. We are "traditional" in style and use the Lutheran Book of Worship.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
The congregation has one location, and we cooperate with neighboring Lutheran and Christian congregations and other organizations in various ministries.

Zion is located at the corner of Easton and Hayes, one block west of the intersection of Jefferson and Western on the South Side of Peoria.

The congregation is organized as a not-for-profit corporation, overseen by a Congregation Council ("board of directors") elected by members of the congregation. The Pastor is the Rev. Steven P. Tibbetts.
What are your hours of operation?
Sunday worship generally begins at 9 am. The Parish Office is generally open Monday-Thursday 9 am-1 pm. Other worship services and events are as announced.

We are a faithful, welcoming congregation that loves worshiping the Lord Jesus.
