How long have you been in business?
We have been the current owners of The Flower Box for 31 years.
What is your primary product or service?
We are a full service florist. We sell fresh flowers for all occasions, and we also have a variety of artificial flowers. We also carry a wide range of plants, cement pieces and some gift items. We are here to serve our customers, and make deliveries in the tri-county area.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Steve Ennis, the owner, has worked in the florist business since college. He went to Bradley University and majored in business.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I am a time-proven business. The Flower Box has been around the Peoria area for many years. We have changed with technology and keep up to date on the current florist industry. We offer a variety of services.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are located in the center of a bustling village area of Peoria Heights. There are many new businesses opening in our area. We do not plan to move at the present time.
Provide detailed directions to your location
Turn north onto Prospect Road from War Memorial Drive. (McDonalds is on the corner and Emo's Ice Cream and Walgreens are on the other corners.) Continue North on Prospect Road about 2 miles. You will go over railroad tracks and we are located on the second block past the tracks on the right-hand side of the street in the middle of the block next to French Toast restaurant and Noir restaurant on either side of us.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, major credit cards and debit cards.
Which areas do you service?
We service all of Peoria Heights, Peoria, East Peoria, Washington, Pekin, Morton, and Dunlap. We do take orders at times to Chillicothe and other outlying areas. Please call for information.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Steve Ennis owns the Flower Box, with the help of several wonderful employees.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open 8:30-5pm Monday thru Friday. Saturday hours are 8:30-3pm. We do deliver Funeral pieces on Sundays for Sunday visitations.
